Prostate Disorder

The prostate is a male reproductive gland that produces the fluid that carries sperm during ejaculation. It surrounds the urethra, the tube through which urine passes out of the body.

An enlarged prostate means the gland has grown bigger. Prostate enlargement happens to almost all men as they get older. More than one-third of men over 50 have this condition.

As the gland grows, it can press on the urethra and cause urination problems; such as heavy feeling or discomfort on urinary bladder or abdominal area, weak urinary stream, frequent urination, urinary urgency, residual urine, incontinence. These are due to the inability to completely empty the urinary bladder.

An enlarged prostate is often called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or benign prostatic hypertrophy. Many take antibiotics such such as Cipro for infection as MD says prostatitis if a patient has a pelvic pain, fever or chills. But most patients in my clinic don’t feel any difference even after taking medicines. Most patients who come to my clinic said they were prescribed by Flowmax to relax muscles and make easy to urinate. However it didn’t help them much.

Some complain reverse ejaculation (sperm goes back into urinary bladder) while they take medication, but as soon as they stop medication, normal ejaculation begins. When reverse ejaculation happens, they feel very awkward. Some suffer with impotency and less duration.

Treatment Method

  1. Enlargement means due to heat according to acupuncture theory. Therefore our clinic uses cold method. Many try to use warm method, but this is against my theory.

  2. Many suffer with impotence, fatigue, weakness, sore and weak limbs, lower back pain and tinnitus. All these indicate with dysfunction of kidney and liver.

  3. Some suffer with frequent urination, cloudy or gray urine, disorientation and forgetfulness. These are related with weakness of kidney and heart.

  4. Frequent urination also means atrophy on bladder muscle meaning less volume holding capacity. This happens usually at night as bladder shrinks smaller at night that is cold than day.

Treatment Example

One ninety old man suffered with prostatic disorder. Even after urination, he felt some urine left over in the bladder. He couldn’t urinate while he stood as the urine goes out of the toilet bowl making the bathroom smell bad. So he sat on the toilet bowl for a long time.

When his wife wanted to urinate, he sat there. They often asked each other to hurry up to get out of the bathroom.
I gave him acupuncture and liquid herb treatments. He experienced bad smell on his urine in the first two weeks. The smell gradually disappeared. The urge of urination slowed down. The duration of sitting on the bowl and frequency became less. He became free from all above symptoms after three months. It took longer than I expected, but considering his age, it was a wonderful result.

Most cases between fifties and seventies may be solved within one month. This is based on 12 acupuncture treatments and one month supply of oriental herb.
